How it works

A research desk of one, on a schedule of one.

1 · Profile

Tell it what you're actually trying to find out

Nine conversational questions: what you do, what you follow, what you're building, what you're learning, what you never want to see, how long you have, when your morning starts. Weights are derived from how you answer — the first thing you name and elaborate on matters more than an afterthought — then shown to you to adjust.

2 · Research

Every morning, it researches — for you specifically

Before your delivery time, the system plans research lanes from your profile: one per interest cluster, one per followed company or person, one per goal, one per learning track. Each lane runs real web and news searches, fetches the pages, and extracts dated, attributable facts. Your trusted feeds are pulled directly; your blocked domains never enter the building.

3 · Selection

Most of what it reads, it throws away

Findings are deduplicated, checked against 30 days of what you've already been told, and scored: relevance to your named drivers, impact, novelty, recency, actionability, source credibility. A story you've seen returns only if something material changed. Reading time is allocated by your weights. What doesn't fit gets cut whole — nothing is compressed into mush.

4 · Writing

Written like a person, checked like a build

The brief is composed from verified facts only — the writer never sees raw web pages, which is one of several guards against fabrication. Every number, date and quote is then re-checked against the extracted sources; anything unsupported is struck. A prose linter enforces the editorial standard: no hype, no filler, no repeated shapes.

5 · Delivery

In your inbox when your morning starts

Delivered within about 20 minutes of your chosen time, in your timezone, on the days you choose. Every item shows why it's here and links its sources. React with one click — more like this, less, already knew, not relevant, follow this story — and tomorrow's selection shifts, within bounds you can inspect. Your profile is never silently edited.

What it will not do

It will not pad a quiet day. It will not repeat a story because it's trending. It will not print a claim it can't source from that morning's research. And when it gets something wrong, it corrects itself in the next brief, in one plain clause.
